This pop-up series with sounds by Silver Dolphin Press is a big hit with children. I’ve read two of the series, Woof! and Roar! during the storytime session I participate in every week, and the kids respond really well. The sounds are somewhat timed and go off when you’re reading the story, and they’re pretty loud too! The bright colors and well-done pop-ups are great, as are the panels on the side of the other animals on each page. I had a customer looking for a car book once for an autistic child, and she loved the Vroom! title, because the boy loved automobile sounds. The only criticism I have is I wish they were a bit longer.
